It’s Not About Politics; It’s About Patriotism

What Are Politics Really All About?

AMERICA’S FUTURE (and which Party can be most trusted to secure that future). This fundamental truth is all important and must never be forgotten, no matter how badly our Party screws up.

Always bear in mind that while your Party may, on occasion, disappoint you, your country is never a disappointment, and we owe her our energetic loyalty, never more than now when she faces an existential threat. Now, indeed, is the time for all good men (and women -particularly women) tocome to the aid of their country!!

Suggestion: When your party disappoints you, staying home and letting Democrats get elected is not the appropriate remedy for your disappointment —removing the offending individuals is what is in order!

B. HISTORY — WHERE ARE WE AND HOW DID WE GET

HERE?

We lost the last election, and we deserved to. However, while Republicans lost the last election, conservative principles suffered no defeat — unfortunately, they weren’t even on the ballot

C. SOMETHING TO CONSTANTLY BEAR IN MIND.-

Our principles are those adhered to by a majority of U.S. citizens, and they should be for the following 2

Reasons:

1. Our convictions are the only ones that make sense in light of the situation that we face today, and

2. perhaps more important, they are those most closely aligned with the thinking of the country’s founding fathers and the father of ourParty, Abraham Lincoln.

Note: Being in the majority is meaningless if we don’t show up to vote — after all, that is the greatest gift of ourfounding fathers — participatory Democracy.

D.PROBLEMS

1. With the country.- We no longer have an effective 2-party system; the Democrats have, quite simply, taken leave of their senses and are giving considerable aid and comfort to our enemies. America’s enemy (and thus our enemy) is Radical Islam (in the person of Osama Bin Laden). The Democrat’s enemy is George Bush, andthey are doing everything that they can to make certain that we lose this war.

2. With the Republican Party.- A refusal to confront, confusing cowardice with good manners.

3. With Being A Republican.- The frustration of watching our leaders roll over and apologize at the drop of a hat. It is tough to expect your followers to fight when your shows so little inclination to do so. It is incredibly frustrating carrying water for a Party that refuses to fight

4. Why is this the case — why do Republicans have this problem? Why do Democrats take politics so much more seriously?

a. The answer to the second question is simple. Democrats, believing that government is the answer to all of our problems, want to control it. That is, to a socialist, government is everything — and, since, Democrats are socialists in sheep’s clothing, they realize that government is the engine that pulls their socialist train. Furthermore, Republicans are inclined to mind their own business; Democrats, on the other hand, mind everybody else’s. It’s the one thing we have in common with the Dems — you want to mind your business, and they want to mind your business.

We see government as important, but only when it operates in the limited area that we(and our framers) feel is appropriate, i.e. national defense, first responders, roads and some infrastructure, etc. They see government as all-important — almost to the exclusion of any other institution. They distrust the private sector, and we distrust a strong centralized government.

b. Consequently, since Dems love government, it is easy to recruit their idealistic young and enlist them in government’s cause. Why? Because it gives them the opportunity to create the brave new world — the Utopia, if you will — that they envision. America in its present wonderful form is never enough for the Dems. On the contrary, to a Dem, America is the cause of all the world’s ills.

Republicans, feeling that government should play a limited role in our lives, are not inclined to be a part of that venture. That is, it is much easier to recruit bright young people to engage in a venture which promises to make something happen than it is to people in an endeavor whose cause is, in large part, to prevent things from happening, i.e. to hold back government. While this may be an over-simplification, I think that there is much truth to it.

E. What Will It Take to Restore the Natural Order of Things —

Rediscover what it means to be -

An American — EVERYTHING!!

A Republican — A real American.

A conservative— An American who understands the importance of being an American and who wants to make certain that America remains America!!

F. What Do You Have To Do?

1. Wake up!!

2. Educate yourselves— knowledge is power; ignorance is not bliss

3. Get energized (ANGRY) they’re trying to take your country away from you

4. Get involved — help your leaders!!!

5. Get others involved — spread the word.

6. And, above all, make certain that your children and grandchildren understand and appreciate the majesty and grandeur of this magnificent country. And let them know in the clearest of terms that the surest way to lose your country is to take its blessings for granted. It’s like any love affair — the bloom is off the rose when you cease to appreciate the wonder of your partner. Only this is a love affair with your country, and it will only lose its wonder if and when you let it. Like anything worth preserving, it takes dedication and hard work.

But America is well worth it!!!

G. The Importance of the 2008 Election.- I firmly believe that the election of Hillary Clinton as President would be a defining moment in the declining fortunes of Western Civilization. Not only is she vicious and dangerously dishonest, she is, more to the point, completely unqualified to serve in any leadership capacity. SHE MUST BE DEFEATED!!

H. Role of Women in 2008 Election - INCREDIBLY VITAL!!

Women play an important role in every election. I firmly believe that they do much of the heavy lifting in the Republican Party in all elections. However, they are going to be critical in 2008. Why? Because Hillary Clinton is going to make this election about women, i.e. it is time for a woman president! Her credo will be that it is time to break through the ultimate glass ceiling and cast off the yoke of male patriarchy. It may well be time for a female president, but let me assure you that this is not the female that we want for this job (or, for that matter, any other)!!

Advice to Women: Women’s first instinct is to nurture, heal, and restore peace. What moves her out of that normal posture is when she feels her children or grandchildren are threatened. That brings out the tiger in the female. We need that tiger this time around. Why? Because your children are in fact in danger. We face the most serious threat in my life time, and we need women to be up in arms to respond to that threat. Hillary Clinton is the face of that threat, so ladies -GET ANGRY!

H. Conclusion.-

America — Love it or leave it, but above all, at least know why you choose one or the other!

You need to remind yourself of what it means to be —

1.An American,

2. a Republican, and

3. a conservative

After all, it is difficult to have the courage of your convictions if you are not exactly sure what your convictions are all about.

The slogan — America, Love It or Leave It — is taken from a Vietnam War Bumper Sticker, which I thought harsh at the time (after all I was just an ignorant leftie — what can you expect?), but which I now resonate with completely. What it means to me now is that we live in the greatest country on the earth today, yesterday, and tomorrow, and, if you don’t like it, then please find some place more suited to your taste. And here is the most important part KNOW WHY YOU LIKE IT IN VERY SPECIFIC TERMS (and there is so very much to like that it makes you feel nothing but contempt for Americans who seem to find great satisfaction in loathing their own country)
